For those of you with a penchant for global water and sanitation issues, there are several ways in which you could get involved with Water For People. The most direct way is to get involved with the Washington, DC Water For People Committee. Our committee meets monthly to plan our upcoming events, discuss water issues and engage with guest speakers on water and sanitation related topics. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Washington, DC Water For People Committee or would like to learn more about who we are and what we do, please email: info@waterforpeopledc.org.

If you don't have the time to commit to our regularly scheduled meetings, but would like to stay abreast of what we are doing and other happenings in the water community. You can sign up for our monthly newsletter emails at eNewsletters, or join our Facebook page, or follow our Blog. You will be one of the first to know of the local Water For People events taking place in the Greater DC area.

Finally, if you want to experience firsthand the work Water For People is doing in the field, the World Water Corps is the way to go. Established in 2007, the World Water Corps is the arm of Water For People that monitors the work that happens in the field. Through observation and interviews with people on the ground in homes, clinics, schools, and community water points, World Water Corps is on the front lines of determining what is happening and what is needed by the people who need it the most. Volunteers need to be able to commit for a minimum of two weeks and depending on the location, certain language skills are required.

There are many ways to get involved, start now and contact us at info@waterforpeopledc.org.
