Headquartered in Denver, CO. Water For People helps people in developing
   countries improve their quality of life by supporting the development of locally
   sustainable drinking water resources, sanitation facilities and health and hygiene
   education programs. Our vision is a world where all people have access to safe
   drinking water and sanitation; a world where no one suffers or dies from a water
   or sanitation related disease.

   The Water For People Washington, DC Committee supports the mission and vision
   of Water For People by engaging in outreach, advocacy, and fundraising. Working
   in conjunction with the Federal Water Quality Association - our local parent
   organization -the DC Committee reaches out to various companies, schools,
   civic groups and interested organizations to provide information on Water For
   People's purpose, mission, and vision. We collaborate with a variety of
   Washington, DC organizations whose aim is to increase awareness of the global
   water and sanitation challenges faced by the international community. To support
   the organization's overall goals, the Water For People D.C. Committee hosts a variety
   of annual events throughout the year, including our signature World Water Day.
